"After an 11-hour drive with three kids, we arrived with high hopes. The outside cabin/wagon area is adorable, and the amenities were perfect for burning off energy. The deluxe cabin features two bedrooms (queen, twin bunks), a pull-out sofa, and a kitchenette. Unfortunately, the two mini-splits couldn’t cool the space, even set at 64°F, and the mattresses were incredibly thin. Things turned worst at 9 PM when we uncovered the beds. "I love staying at the iconic Big Texan. Staff is always nice & ready to help. The rooms on site are clean & everything in working order. There’s an RV park with a pool just a couple blocks away that you’re allowed to go swim at. Parking on site . Parking in back for semis & horse trailers w/ turn outs for horses! Of course there’s the BIG TEXAN STEAK HOUSE right across from hotel! So come on yall & enjoy a lil Texas hospitality and a sound sleep!!"

Finally they had a 1 king instead of the 2 queens i I had reserved… terrible… this has been the first time this has ever happened…. So beware of this hotel if you book with them…just be prepared.."

When we requested new sheets she brought us one set for a double room and then left when she should have at least helped to change the sheets. Additionally when we changed the sheets we had to remove the mattress cover because there was a blood stain on the mattress cover. We had very little confidence anything had been washed or cleaned. We ended up using our own blankets to cover up while we slept....

"I had a terrible experience staying here. From the moment I walked in, the woman at the front desk was extremely rude and had a bad attitude. She acted like helping me with my reservation was an inconvenience, which made me feel very unwelcome. To make matters worse, there was a leak in my room. I reported it, but no one came to fix it, and it continued leaking all night. It was frustrating and made it difficult to enjoy my stay. This place was labeled as "family friendly" and it is right next to an adult lingerie shop complete with the homeless encampment on the side. There is a huge billboard out front (not the hotel's billboard) advertising an adult sex toy shop in the area. The area looks sketchy. You would be better to go 2 miles down the road. Quick drive to everything, Buc-ees right across the highway, restaurants, etc. Not really walkable to anything, as you're on a very busy access road with a field in between you and everything else. "I had a wonderful stay at Four Points by Sheraton in Amarillo. The staff was friendly and welcoming from check-in to check-out. The hotel was clean, quiet, well-lit, and I felt safe throughout my stay. The location is excellent—just a short drive to Bucces, restaurants, and other attractions. There are also several dining options nearby, making it very convenient. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Amarillo."

"Room was clean. But bed wasn’t comfortable. It’s pretty firm. Typical hotel breakfast, waffles, B&G, bacon, scrambled eggs. Staff was nice. Room was clean. Sheets smelled good and clean. Shower head is okay, pressure wasn’t bad it’s just really tall so if you’re short like 5’3 you can’t reach it to change the pressure. Overall good experience"

"Not the best stay. The TV only worked about half the time, and the shower head sprayed water everywhere, which made the bathroom difficult to use. On top of that, I was charged a fee for my service animal, which was frustrating and disappointing. I expected better for the price I paid. Overall, the room had maintenance issues and the service did not meet expectations."
