I stay here often and really enjoy Beverly Hill. The reception is very friendly and the servers are great. I left my room and left my toiletries in the bathroom. I came back to collect them and the maids said there was nothing in the room. Please be very careful leaving anything unattended in your room, there is a problem with theft.

SPLENDOUR ON THE INDIAN OCEAN
The Beverly Hills Hotel nestled along the Umhlanga coast is both beautiful and welcoming. The hearty reception on our arrival & the professional Check-in experience set the tone for what was a truly beautiful stay. A stunning room with spectacular views of the Indian Ocean and the sounds of the waves breaking on the shore were mesmerising. A modified Afternoon Tea at The Lounge, Dinner at the Elements and Breakfast at the Sugar Club were all sublime. Dining was a gastronomical delight which was further enhanced by the warmth, attentiveness and hospitality of the Staff. Every member at the Beverly Hills were courteous, accommodating & ensured that we were more than comfortable at all times. This was an unrivalled hotel stay which has certainly beckoned our return in the future. Thank You Beverly Hills !!

This hotel was extremely over priced. Room decor is very outdated, aircon unit made noise. When we arrived at our room the cleaning staffing were sitting on the floor in the hallway relaxing and chatting loudly. No help with our bags. Ordered food at the pool that took over an hour to arrive and was burnt. Only positive is the bed was comfortable, linen exceptional and towels were best I have ever used.

Peacefulness
Excellent service and atmosphere. Clean and great location near restaurants and right by the ocean with beautiful views. The building is old so you can feel the history of the place compared with a modern hotel. The service and the location by the ocean is worthy to try. Breakfast is absolutely the best we had around South Africa!!

Simply the Best!
I was so surprised and impressed! Gorgeous room with spectacular view of pool and ocean. Nightly turn- down with chocolates and bottled water. Breakfast (included) was a buffet ( as well as made-to-order items), and it was was marvelous. The dining room also had the ocean view. Staff were attentive, helpful, and welcoming. Spotlessly clean. I didn’t want to leave!

Room Not Ready at Check In
Got to the Beverly Hills at 14h45 and The Room was not ready, waited for about 15min and was handed the room keys. Kuben the manager apologised and complimented the room with a Cheese Platter. Went up to the room and noticed that the room was not serviced properly - had only three tissues in the bathroom tissue box. No bedroom/bath slippers were present, and no laundry bags present. And The one bedside lamp was damaged. We brought all this to the attention of a cleaner in the hallway and they rectified it later when we got back.

great place
First visit for 26 years. My husband and I met there, and decided to go back to visit. Its a charming hotel, feels a little colonial and old-school. The service and staff are some of the best trained and friendliest staff we have ever met in a hotel. We frequent top class hotels quite often due to my husband's work, and the service in the BH rivals the Ritz and the Dorchester truly excellent. The food (especially the lamb curry) is excellent. Very good value hotel. We'll be back... again. If we had to have any criticism at all, it would be that some of the rooms can be a little tired. But then its a classic not a modern hotel.

Highly recommend this hotel !
The check in process was amazing and efficient and friendly. The room was nice .. standard room slightly smaller then I am used to but very comfortable. Beautiful ocean views and beach accessible. Staff were fantastic and we had a lovely surprise of sparkling wine and velvet cake in our room to celebrate our special occasion

Poor Customer Service Experience
The Hotel is nice but aged. We had an issue where we noticed the sliding door was unable to completely close late at night. We called Front Desk to complain and they promptly sent their maintenance to fix. However their maintenance unloads a can of lubricant on the sliding door rails instantly fuming the entire room up making it a health risk to sleep in. We call Front Desk and ask for another room, the manger on duty says they are fully booked up and cannot assist in changing the room - she then advises that she can send up an Air Fresher??? We insist that that cannot work and the room is not fit to spend the night in. We propose that if they are unable to provide an alternate room to give us a refund. Which They were unable to do immediately. We propose that they put us up in another 5* hotel in the same area. After much negotiations, they agreed and put us up in the Oyster Box Hotel - However we had to pay the difference in price, It was late we agreed. The Beverly Hills Hotel Manager on Duty Apologised and only gave us an apology note with a Candle and Cheap Bag as a Token of their apology! I think they could have done better and have a-lot to learn in guest relations seeing that they are listed as a 5* Hotel.

Highly recommended hotel
Very friendly and efficient reception. Two days after my birthday and there was a card, balloons, a card and a bottle of champagne in the room. Were at a different hotel on my birthday and were not even wished happy birthday. Excellent service from waiters at breakfast. Can highly recommend the hotel and will definitely return

This old school glamor hotel has the perfect location, right on the Indian Ocean, with stairs heading down to the beach. A short walk to the heart of Umhlanga, with tons of restaurants and bars. The breakfast at the hotel was fantastic. My room felt luxurious in decor, with comfortable linens and the sound of the waves out the window. I had a balcony and some rooms have even more outdoor space, with lounging chairs and a table. Highly recommend! Very covid careful.
