Berlin Grande Hotel

"Front desk staff were friendly and professional. Room was very clean and we were impressed of how well it was laid out and how spacious it was. The sink in the kitchen area along with a small refrigerator and microwave were nice amenities to have during our stay. The small balcony was a surprise, and we did use it to enjoy the pretty weather. The grounds surrounding the hotel were very well maintained with lots of beautiful flowers and plants. We did not take advantage of the breakfast offered, so I can’t comment on that. We had intended to use the pool although time it allow for it. I think a lighter, cheerier atmosphere or paint color surrounding the pool would make it more welcoming. Overall, it was an excellent stay. We would highly recommend this hotel."

"For the price that we paid, this was a nice room. It was clean, the shower was great and the bed comfortable. The door doesn’t seal well which seemed to make the room a bit humid. There’s a towel rack or something missing from the front of the sink and the mounting hardware remains making it look a bit bad. There’s a bench for putting luggage on that has bent legs, hopefully no one tries to sit on it because that could be dangerous. Staff is great and friendly. The area around it was interesting with the Buckeye Express Diner and Pancho Taco’s within walking distance"

"We were in the room toward the front of Berlin Resort. The back rooms had a porch facing the landscaped grounds behind them. Our room was nicely furnished but we’d have preferred the rooms with the porch and rocking chairs if we would’ve known they were available ."

"The hotel is a unique property with many of the quirks that accompany old buildings. Overall, our stay was quite nice and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Check-in was easy and the room was clean and prepared for our arrival and the bed was quite comfortable. We had a few minor room maintenance issues toward the end of our stay, but since they occurred at the end, it did not disrupt our visit. Guests should be aware that, as is often the case with old buildings, walls are quite thin, so the conversations of guests in adjacent rooms speaking in conversational tones could be heard at night. However, recommend a visit for a reasonably priced accommodation with an historical vibe."
