  • Jagdish Temple is one of the famous temples of Udaipur. Located in the City Palace complex of Udaipur, this temple is made in the Indo-Aryan style of architecture. In 1651, Jagdish temple was built by Maharana Jagat Singh, who ruled Udaipur during 1628-53. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Laxmi Narayan), the preserver of the Universe. It is celebrated for being the largest temple in the city of Udaipur. The gateway of this temple can be sited at a distance of 150 meters from the Bara Pol of the City Palace. This three-storied temple is a wonder of architecture that comprises beautifully carved pillars, decorated ceilings, painted walls and lush halls. In those times, 1.5 million rupees were spent to raise this structure. The spire of the main temple is around 79 feet high that undoubtedly dominates the skyline of Udaipur. This shikhar (spire) is festooned with sculptures of dancers, elephants, horsemen and musicians making it truly a sight to behold. As and when you approach the temple, you will be welcomed by two huge stone elephants at the entrance. On the very front of the temple, you would find a stone slab that is imprinted with the inscriptions with reference to Maharaja Jagat Singh. To reach the main shrine, you have to take a marble flight of 32 steps. Here, you will find a brass image of Garuda, a figure of half-man and half-eagle. This huge idol stands as if; it is guarding the doorway of Lord Vishnu.

The property is central located and easily accessible to all the sightseeing and the shopping markets ....loved the ambience ,food and hospitality..just if they would have a kids pool as pool on the top floor is 4.5 feet which is not k for small kids ...kids pool would have been an added advantage...else everything is good 😊

Had an amazing stay at Regenta Central. The staff was very welcoming particularly Rekha and Noor at the reception. Rooms were clean and the hotel has good dining options. Would recommend this hotel if you are travelling to Udaipur.

As i was disappointed with property, while waiting for check in heard few people complaining about room's. I was sent to different hotel going there was the same sean so I decided to make other arrangements and didn't stay at the place. And went to Regenta hotel at circl chouk which was good choice.

Clean hotel & amazing staff, but bring ear plugs

This hotel was super clean and comfortable. The suite style room was inviting and quite big for families. A very clean and modern bathroom. The staff goes above and beyond for our needs, especially the staff at the restaurant - they were amazing, friendly and accommodating. The only issue is the poor soundproofing of the room windows. It's located on a busy road and they should have taken that into account when designing the building. You'll very clearly hear the busy road with cars and musical horns of trucks until midnight. And this hotel is close to a Mandir that blasts a sunrise Hindu prayer at 5am to 6am every morning through its loud speaker, enough for us to wake up. If you're a light sleeper, this hotel is not for you. Bring ear plugs.

The hotel is kinda hidden; but the staff were really friendly. They didn’t really give clear instructions as to where our driver could park until I asked a gentleman at the front desk for the exact address. We also had difficulties at checkout. Due to a family emergency we needed to leave early. We wanted a receipt to show to Expedia to prove we left early. We were unable to get a receipt and were told that the lady in the front could not even find our booking.
