"The staff were so helpful and organised a quick local tour for us as we were only briefly in Windhoek. Breakfast was excellent. The dinner was very elegant but rather ‘haute cuisine’ great for a celebration meal - we enjoyed our plates but prefer to have some more simple dishes on the menu."

"We had 2 rooms that smelled like sewerage. The fridge was broken in one of the rooms, the coffee pot broken on the other. The bathroom was never properly cleaned. Everything was extremely expensive and breakfast was not included. The staff wouldn’t offer help unless provoked (although they were lovely). Any simple food order took at least 40 min to 1 hour to get ready. I have no idea how this is considered a 5 star hotel. Save your money and go somewhere else."

"A beautiful lodge with very kind and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the food is very good (the dinner set menu was excellent!). A major highlight is the sunset view—simply amazing. Having two swimming pools is a great bonus. Very good value for money. Important Tip: Do not rely solely on Google Maps for directions as it is currently incorrect. Be sure to check the driving directions sent by the hotel (they usually send them a few days before arrival) to ensure you find...

"I travel a lot and Avani has one of the best hotel breakfast experiences. It's also in a convenient location with nearby coffee/bakery shops and a small shopping center attached. I definitely recommend staying at this hotel if you are looking for a central location with plenty of shopping options. "
