Our stay was lovely. Food excellent. Staff lovely. Only downside was the room was too hot and we had to keep the window open which wasnt good as it was very noisy outside and there is loud music from very early in the morning from across the road. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will return.

Pleasantly surprised

Staff were fantastic, Hotel had a nice gym with spa etc. Food was excellent, no complaints there. Room was comfortable but tv channels were limited, tv was a smart version but not connected to Internet so netflix's etc wasn't ab option. Will definitely be back

Lovely hotel.

We have always loved this hotel even though it is in the centre of small town.The entrance foyer is so welcoming lots of little places to sit. The staff are very helpful and friendly.Good breakfast. We ate in the hotel bar but there are other eateries in walking distance of the hotel.

Our stay was satisfactory overall. Initially a problem with payment as the lady couldn’t confirm I already paid so charged me again. I was refunded in the morning and a very gracious apology. Staff were brilliant, food was excellent. Bed was really comfortable but the room was really hot, no air con or fan to help. The pool and sauna/steam room was great.

Enjoyed our stay but did not use the leisure facilities as the change rooms were dirty. People had clearly walked through change rooms with outdoor shoes so floor was filthy. Women’s had hair all over the floor. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean and spacious. Great for 1 night but would stay for the weekend as facilities were run down and dirty.

Good rooms, sad breakfast

The hotel car park is a short walk from the hotel itself - not a big deal but worth bearing in mind if you have a lot of bags or kids or limited mobility. Rooms are well set up, small but have everything you need. Breakfast is disappointing - undercooked food, tired buffet, and they don't let you help yourself to the cooked breakfast buffet so you're at the mercy of the staff's ideas. I ended up with an unwanted lake of beans.

One night tullamore

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, nice rooms, and loved the entrance with fab staircase. Nice bar and restaurant. Good breakfast options. Cons. The room was very hot. Breakfast was ruined by music being played midway through my sitting. First of all it was loudly tested by the staff and then played consistenly so i had to leave. I think most people want a peaceful breakfast and don't wish to have loud music or listen to staff discussions. Other than that, I would recommend.

I was sold on Expedia's sell, it is an impressive buiding. However, despite advising reception of my delicate nature around noise - my room was on the street side. Passing traffic and lights from a Christmas tree and the shops had light filter past the curtains. I am absent rest - the point of a room. The Spa is a letdown. The walkway(s) are spectacular, the grand ballroom too. But everything is tired. The communal spaces are so beautifully 1930' - a delight. My salad - duck was its own reward. The serving staff are brilliant. Breakfast - fantastic, with Christmas tunes too - thank you. However, if you are unsupportive of guests then you miss the point! A carpark - an interesting concerpt
