"This is the lodge on the property of Tsavo West national park (safari). It is of the high quality accommodation with an opportunity to see the wild life and game directly from the room's balcony and the terrace of the restaurant. Two water holes attract various species such as zebras, giraffes, antilopes, elephants and water buffaloes. "Visited Ashnil as part of a longer trip. The other Lodges have excellent dinner and lunch meals and service. Here, we were told on arrival that each sitting would cost us a small fortune for what turned out to be very mediocre meals. You are in the middle of nowhere, so paying for these meals left a bitter taste in the mouth for a one-night stay. Service was inferior, period. The bathrooms are horrible - see photos. Sitting in your own private pool to view the wildlife was the cherry on top. Even though you're in a secluded area, Manyatta Camp offers extremely reasonable prices for their food and drinks. "Extemely angry at our treatment at this hotel. Would recomend avoiding at all costs. We did not want food during our stay and brought are own however the staff made food anyway and guilt tripped us into eating it. We then asked for costs or prices and were told the food was free and inclusive to our stay. Sadly this was a complete a lie and at checkout they tried to charge us 25 pounds a person for each meal.
