"First of all, the front desk and the valet staff were exceptionally helpful and gracious. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and excited to be there. And as soon as we got to the room we realized just how old the hotel itself must be. There's barely a flat surface, a plumb wall or floor in the building. We had a spacious balcony that was virtually unusable -- the floor was so slanted it felt like you were going to slide off. The railing was wobbly (we were on the 5th floor), and the service area of the hotel must have been just below us, it was so loud we couldn't stand sitting out there -- which was a bummer because we had paid extra for the room, a lot more than the standard, and the view was phenomenal. Just didn't feel safe, and you couldn't hear the person next to you the machinery down below was so loud.
Beds, sheets and pillows are fantastic -- very quiet once the balcony door was closed, and we slept very well. And the rest of the rooms amenities were just great. The TV, the coffee maker, the toiletries in the shower, all top notch.
The breakfast in the main restaurant wasn't that great, but they're also we're not a lot of guests taking advantage of it, so it's sort of understandable. Unexpected though, I would think the food would be really important to maintain a draw. "
