"The good points about the hotel were the breakfast, the staff, who were helpful and the rooms which were for the most part well maintained. We had several very positive interactions with the front desk and on the whole they met our needs. The location is pretty good and there is access to a sandy beach at low tide. Do bear in mind that the hotel is close to the port, so noise can be an issue if you room on the mountain side of the property. The wireless was extremely weak. As this was (partly)...

"Bien que notre première impression fut plutôt negative, au vu du peu d 'amabilité du patron à l'accueil, ainsi que d' une employée qui était là et ne nous a même pas dit bonjour, nous sommes passés outre et avons passé un bon sejour d une nuit.La patronne, qui parle anglais, a été très sympathique et comme nous avions pris la demie pension , nous avons très bien mangé au restaurant le soir et au petit-déjeuner avec une magnifique vue sur le paysage environnant. "Frühstück und Zimmer waren gut und das Personal immer sehr höflich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel könnte etwas gepflegter sein, vielleicht sollte man die Teppichböden entfernen… sonst haben wir uns wohl gefühlt und gut geschlafen. Es liegt etwas außerhalb, wir konnten aber fussläufig alles gut erreichen . Das Fitnessstudio sah super aus, wir hatten aber zu wenig Zeit, es zu nutzen…"

"I highly recommend stopping here if you are on the Camino and want to stop in Caminha or Seixas. The private rooms are small but very nice. I had a view of the beautiful cathedral in town right outside my window. There is a beautiful view of the Minho River from the deck outside. The shared bathroom is very clean and the shared common room was large (as well as the kitchen). Patricia who runs it is also very kind and helpful. Definitely a 5 star stay!"

"Wir sind sofort nach dem einchecken wieder abgereist, weil alles ganz gruselig war. Große Flecken auf dem Teppich an den Gardinen. Die Möbel sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Der Geruch in dem Zimmer etwas ekelig. Diese Unterkunft würde ich für den Preis nie weiterempfehlen."

"Great hotel in the centre, staff a very friendly and helpful. Rooms are well decorated. Hotel is very beautiful inside and out. Good facilities with a modest gym, good sauna and steam room. Piano player at breakfast is a nice touch, creates a lovely atmosphere."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Flag Design Hotel in Viana. The staff is super friendly and the hotel very comfortable. Perfectly located at the center of the city, clean and convenient. We appreciated we could watch the FIFA World Cup games from the room or cafeteria and loved the library and conference rooms as we needed to do some work/study. 100% recommended! Very grateful with the staff!"

"Lovely clean rooms with a nice sized restroom. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Our room included a large outdoor area with table and chairs that our children enjoyed. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating to our requests. The breakfast buffet was wonderful with lots of options for the whole family."

"The host greeted us at the gate with keys and a quick tour of the lovely property. This house is the best location in which we have ever stayed: Attention to detail is evident everywhere from the bed and bath linens to the kitchenware to the overall design of the unit’s layout. Very clean and brightly lit, yet with excellent privacy. The neighborhood is quiet and quite suitable for a stroll to view others' gardens. Guest comfort is paramount though and through."
