"Stayed one night when attending a wedding in the castle. Can only recommend on my visit. Looked after by Cathy from arrival until breakfast next morning. Had dinner at Crown hotel a few mins from hotel and 10% discount on food was applied for hotel guests. Mind flash the key fob to let them know before the bill is on table. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast was served and tea/ coffee top ups were no trouble if asked for. Recommend the Kirkstyle if staying in the area."

"Lovely old hotel. Staff could not have been more helpful which is what would make me return. Food was very good but I felt quite pricey for certain items. Room was quite small for two sharing but we had everything we needed. Slippers and robes were a nice touch as were the biscuits. Coffee at breakfast was lovely.
