A very good budget friendly hotel in Torshavn. Breakfast was excellent. Room was very basic but adequate for a quick overnight stay. Within walking distance of restaurants and old town Torshavn.

Nice in the center

The hotel building is cement and new, the Guesthouse building is made of wood no soundproof. You can hear the people walking or talking. Breakfast is great and staff are wonderful

Let me check in - as scheduled - when there was NO hot water available in the hotel. No mention made at check in. Hot water was out for at least three days (2 of whick affected me). When I asked that my room be cleaned, the morning desk attendant agreed, the afternoon desk attendant told me they didn't clean Guest House rooms. When I pointed out that the printed room instructions said they would clean the room on request, the afternoon attendant came and looked at the room and then promptly cleaned the room. The bathroom floor was extremely slippy when wet, and I slipped. I caught myself falling, scraped my arm (drew some blood), and it was the bloodly towels that I wanted cleaned up. No chance I would ever even consider this place to stay again.

I used this as the base for the Torshavn Marathon so being close to the start was the critical requirement for me. The 62N Guesthouse was perfect. Rooms maybe a little basic but it is a Guesthouse, however, the breakfasts were excellent and everything was walkable so a great base to explore the capital city. No real parking at the hotel but plenty near by that allowed us to park the hire car so we could explore the wider islands.

Hotel breakfast, hostel-like rooms

Convenient location in the centre of Torshavn and excellent breakfast in a beautiful Scandi-chic room. The guesthouse, however, is more run-down and musty than it looks on the photos. Also, front desk closes early and you need a working sim card to call them + get your room key, which is less obvious than it sounds given the Faroe Islands are not included in many European roaming plans--they should communicate by email and thru the reservation app rather than assume calling them will be possible. Not great value for money, but this is true of most places in Torshavn.

Rigtig fint ophold med central beliggenhed på 62N

Vi havde et yderst behageligt ophold på 62N Guesthouse i centrum af Tórshavn. Beliggenheden er intet mindre end perfekt, og er et rigtig godt udgangspunkt for at udforske byen. Meget af Tórshavns charme og seværdigheder, f.eks. Tinganes og Nordens Hus, ligger i gåafstand fra 62N. Det er værd at nævne, at bybusserne i Tórshavn er gratis, selvom vi ikke benyttede os af dem. Vores værelse var rent, funktionelt og havde en fin størrelse med god plads til opbevaring. Det fremstod en smule slidt, men det var rent og pænt, og sengene var fantastiske. Samtidig var der oftest meget stille. Vi havde eget bad og toilet, som også var rent og funktionelt, omend også en smule ”træt”. Wi-Fi var stabilt og fungerede upåklageligt under hele opholdet. Morgenmaden var et absolut højdepunkt! Lokalet var nyt og meget indbydende, lyst og pænt Og morgenmadsbuffeten var lækker og rigelig. Personalet sørgede hele tiden for, at der var fyldt op med alt, og samtidig var de meget opmærksomme og sevicemindede. Helt generelt oplevede vi en utrolig venlighed og hjælpsomhed fra alle de færinger, vi mødte under vores tur – en stor fornøjelse! Efter udtjekning på hjemrejsedagen var det muligt at opbevare vores kufferter i receptionen, hvilket gjorde vores sidste dag i byen meget nemmere. Vi fik fuld valuta for pengene på 62N Guesthouse og kan varmt anbefale det til andre rejsende, der søger en central beliggenhed, en god nattesøvn, en lækker start på dagen i en venlig atmosfære. Works fine... but extremely noisy... 1st and 2nd night... neighbors were loudly amd rude... from 1 ro 3am ... Did NOT stop even when requested to keep quiet... so BEWARE.... following day, management spoke to individual... But offered nothing in compensation after 2 sleepless noghts?
