"Loved atmosphere around old station, breakfast room and pullman dining car/accomodation"

"This is a first class boutique pub. Bedroom was lovely, quiet and comfortable. (Though there could be more shelving for toiletries).Restaurant provided an excellent range of evening meals and breakfast options to a very high standard. All staff were extremely polite"

"Quiet and well appointed room. Great breakfast."

"My room was spotlessly clean and housekeeping were extremely kind."

"My second stay here and it surpassed the high bar set by my previous stay. Got checked in by the manager who had just started there. I got a really nice room with a very high finish in décor which instantly put me in a relaxed mood. After finishing my admin, I went on the same 1 hour walk using the same route which takes me through the town centre. It is such a lovely town to walk around. The shower was amazing and allowed me to settle in for a great night's sleep. Breakfast was so much better...

"The hotel was beautiful and our room was large. We got here early and our room was ready but they asked for a £20 fee to go in early … we couldn’t understand that . Apart from that all was good . Nice continental breakfast."

"We had a lovely stay especially the friendly staff and the kennels was a real highlight."

"Very nice, huge golf-oriented hotel. Excellent facilities and spacious rooms for a family of four. Breakfast was mediocre but the rest was spot on for the price."

"Stayed whilst riding Southdowns way (mtb). Bit of a detour (8k) but not to bad. Excellent large room. Great breakfast provided in-room and excellent Thai dinner. Very fresh and generous portions (set meal). Lovely and helpful staff."

"Fantastic stay, lovely big room and loved the honey and night cap gifts! Would highly recommend. Staff are very helpful too!"

"A lovely gem in the country. Great for walker. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our room and it was sorted - no fuss. The food was excellent and great selection for breakfast. Well worth a visit. 👍"

"I was really impressed with the Holiday Inn Guildford! As soon as you walk in, the hotel feels beautiful, spacious and luxurious. The amenities were excellent, and the whole place had a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. It felt like a little touch of luxury, and I really enjoyed my experience. Would definitely recommend and stay again!"

"Everything was very good, food great, breakfast great, staff very helpful and friendly, room, bathroom and bedroom clean, warm and comfortable, pet friendly only thing we think £20 per dog per night is expensive, but other than that brilliant,"

"Functional hotel, bathroom in need of modernisation and a good scrub! Bit pathetic that you have to pay to use spa facilities, pay for parking and breakfast doesn’t come as standard."

"The condition of the room was dreadful. Tatty, tired, worn, scruffy, grim - not somewhere you would want to spend time and definitely not priced to reflect this. We would have been disappointed had it been half the price. I will say that the cleaning staff did a good job as our room was clean at least and it must be difficult to make a room like this clean. However the duvet cover was torn, the carpet was worn, the paintwork chipped and flaking, bathroom very basic. The whole thing needs...
