We checked into our room, my four year-old daughter and I and right when we walked in I instantly saw the countertops were not cleaned off, and the floors didn’t look to be clean either. So then that led me to inspect some more. I looked in the shower. There was still soap, residue left and hair that was clearly from the previous guest. Then it looks like our bed was just remade. It didn’t even have fresh sheets. I went and told the front desk and asked if there was any way we could get a different room and she said that they were full for the night but she would send somebody down when she had a moment. My daughter and I left to go get something to eat for dinner and when we came back expecting a cleaner room, the only thing that was cleaned up was the soap residue in the shower. Because of this, my daughter and I were unable to use the full amenities in our room, including the bed. We slept on top of the bed luckily, I brought us blankets at checkout. I also mentioned it to the other receptionist that was on shift and she didn’t say a word besides asking if I wanted my receipt. It was really disappointing because a friend of mine who lives over there recommended this hotel and we were looking forward to it only to be disappointed. I used to work at a hotel as a housekeeper and a receptionist, and I am appalled at our experience. I’ve never had an experience like this, and it saddens me because I won’t be choosing this hotel again.
