"We arrived and wasn't too sure which of the pubs we were staying in. One of the girls was really helpful. The room was extremely small but absolutely not an issue. It was relatively clean, the only thing's that were a bit of a put off - the stains on the chair in the room, cooling fan covered thick in dust, bath matt was mouldy and the bathroom had black mould on the ceiling. Despite this the bedding and towels were all nice and clean. Weve never had a shower so hot before in any hotel which was brilliant. Also plenty of tea supplied in the room. We had our tea in the evening. The service wasn't great and was extremely slow. The food was ok. Breakfast had a very small allocation time but was the nicest bit of food we'd had. Would i stay here again. Yes as overall it was a good location and the points id made didnt impact us for one night. Although i would probably look somewhere else first. "

"Extremely welcoming and very clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful 4 nights at the Grange. Loved having made-to-order, delicious breakfast with amazing views. It is an uphill walk from town, but very worth it for the hospitality we received from Mark, Sally, Max, Adam and Jaime. Would definitely recommend!"

"I stayed here while walking the Cumbria Way and it is in an excellent location. On the high street, but on the corner soon a quiet location. The building looks fantastic and is close to shops and restaurants and cafes in Keswick, but far enough away to be away from the crowd not to be busy. The pub and restaurant are smart and tidy and the food in the restaurant for evening meal and breakfast were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough to help. The room I stayed in was very comfy and had everything I could have wanted. The bathroom was very smart and well equipped and even though it was a compact bathroom it was well designed."
