"BEAUTIFUL location, ideal for walks and driving around the Lake District. Very well equipped spa/resort hotel with plenty of FREE parking. Nice restaurant, VERY large room with nice view. Full bath to relax in after a day's hiking."

"Very pleasant small property. 5 mins walk from central Ambleside. Well equipped and warm. Perhaps a bit small for a family of 4 but great for two people. Nicely decorated with thoughtful touches. Only one parking space but a car park 4 mins walk down the hill. Would recommend."

"There's no question that the apartment is dated but it was clean, warm and there was hot water. The kitchen equipment needs refreshing (no utensils like a fish slice or slotted spoon) but we managed fine. It's really the details that need addressing - we had a lamp without a bulb and the bathroom ..."
