"I stayed for a couple of nights at the brilliant Troutbeck Inn during a brief trip south. A first time visit to a welcoming inn which now feels like a home from home, and I very much look forward to returning with a bit more time in hand."

"Room very warm & cosy, lovely underfloor heating in the bathroom. Not really a wardrobe but a small cupboard with hanging space!! Fab food, great breakfast but you can’t have a latte coffee at breakfast!! Also breakfast finishes at 9.45am even at the weekend! Lovely dining room and great bar. Definitely good value and lovely location. Xx"

"Staff were fantastic as usual. Breakfast was hearty and great quality. Room was very nice and cozy - the bed is particularly comfy. Spa was great, clean, and good service. Pub food was lovely. "

"Got a last minute deal and was then upgraded. Very comfy bed, quiet room wifi worked well , refurbished shower hot and strong. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious . Minimal staff tried hard and very friendly. "

"A really lovely couple of nights at Holly Lodge. The hospitality shown from Kirsty and Barbara was 1st class and couldn’t have wished for a more welcoming and homely stay. The lounge is a beautiful and relaxing area to sit and have a drink and take in the wonderful Xmas tree . Really enjoyed the couple of visits to the health club using both the gym and the Spa which was a wonderful perk. You really can’t beat the location of Holly Lodge, literally a 90 second walk cutting through the...

"View from room was beautiful. Room condition was acceptable. Breakfast was basic buffet with cold cuts,cereal ,fruits , simple pastry ,coffee from automatic coffee machine. No hot food included in booking such as eggs or full English breakfast ,You have to pay more for that. "
