"We had a great stay at Margi House. The room was beautifully furnished, and the outdoor jacuzzi was so lovely. The hill, which many mentioned, wasn’t too bad and was easily doable. The receptionist was super helpful and friendly - always with a smile on her face. Just a few things that could be improved: our coffee & water glasses weren’t cleaned until the last day. Since we didn’t have a kitchenette, this would have been nice. The main pool was lovely, but we did have to fish out a lot of bugs...

"Wardrobe had a light in which kept clicking all night keeping us awake. People outside the hotel used the pool and beach seats making it difficult to get a seat. We did not get to go around the pool. Food choice was very poor if you are a vegetarian. Had the poorest food ever in Skiathos around the pool bar - tasteless chicken and cod bites. When reported to the restaurant about the limited choice we were told that is all they’ve got - no attempt to address it or improve. In the end we ate...

"Staff was very friendly and view from our small but clean, comfortable room was amazing! The downside is that you have to haul your luggage up an old stone walkway and staircase to check in at The Water hotel. Unfortunately, our bags were 50 lbs (23kg) each. Luckily, a staffer offered to take them the rest of the way to our room at The Rock, which is more old stone stairs up to an old stone walkway away. There are no elevators. Thank goodness for Alberto!"

"Beautiful gardens and pool area. Despite being next to the road it was very peaceful. Good selection at Breakfast. There is only one coffee machine which could lead to queues at peak times. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Close to bus stop 23 and for 3 euros you can get to Skiathos town and the airport. Bus can be very busy at peak times. The walks through the forest to numerous beaches are beautiful. A few good restaurants all within walking distance if you don’t have a car or want...

"Beds are less than desirable and pool area could use a good cleaning. Staff is super kind and helpful. Breakfast is delivered to the room so coffee isn’t warm by the time it makes it to you. No soap or toiletries of any kind. This isn’t a place to stay if you struggle with steps."

"The hotel itself it minimal & modern.which was lovely However our inland view was of a huge rock face absolutely no view at all so didn't inspire my husband and I to sit on the balcony on an evening. We ask if we could move several times but " no other rooms available apart from the next room which had the exact view !! "Very clean room daily, sheets and towels changed frequently. Staff very helpful. Outside bar was not open when we stayed 10/26th October. As we were the only people staying so had the pool to ourselves. Kitchen lacked utensils wine glasses, dishes for microwaving if cooking all the time in the apartment, but you only have to ask. Shower was a disappointment as small tiled floor with nylon curtain, needs modernising. WiFi could only get in the little reception not in the room for the first 2...

"Had a great time at Afissos Blu Hotel. The location is perfect, right by the sea. Just down the street are a number of tavernas and shops. The little village is quiet and picturesque, ideal for a relaxing vacation. The highlight of our stay was our host. She was extremely helpful and accommodating! We were gifted a jar of homemade honey before we left and felt right at home during our stay. Highly recommended! 5 stars!"

"DO NOT BOOK this property . When I arrived for a x2 night booking ,the WiFi was not working this also meant the TV streaming service was not available. I made contact via WhatsApp and also went to the Sister Hotel ( The Water ) to try and sort out. There was a total lack of engagement from the host. They told me it was fixed the following day but it was not. I verified the fault by taking the receptionist to the property . She agreed there was still no WiFi. I asked for some compensation for...
