"From the moment I approached the front desk, the staff member seemed annoyed that I was there. When I stated I was checking in, her response felt dismissive, as if I didn’t understand what I was doing. During the check-in process, I was told I needed to pay a $50 deposit. This was confusing to me since I had already prepaid for the room. When I asked for clarification, her explanation was unclear and came across with noticeable attitude. I calmly asked her to explain it more clearly, as I simply wanted to understand the charge. Eventually, she clarified it was a standard deposit, and I paid it. After receiving my room key, I went upstairs only to find that it didn’t work. I had to return to the front desk, where I was then reassigned to a different room due to what I was told was a battery issue. Overall, the interaction felt unwelcoming and unnecessarily frustrating. A more patient and professional approach would have made a significant difference in the experience. Additionally, it was disappointing that the coffee bar was not open at 8 AM, which felt like a missed basic amenity for guests starting their day. "

"Stayed at Staybridge Suites Milwaukee Airport South by IHG on April 25th for my daughter’s 16th birthday weekend and had a very disappointing experience. Sunday morning, I found a bed bug on the bathroom wall in Room 524. I took a picture and reported it immediately. The front desk clerk initially tried to tell me it was a box elder bug or ladybug. She was dismissive, but when I asked for someone to come to the room, she said she would send someone up. After waiting nearly an hour with no response, I went downstairs to show the photo myself. The front desk clerk was actually the General Manager, Vee Vee Reaves. She claimed not to know what type of bug it was, but said she would send someone up in a few minutes. Later, an employee named Mario came to the room, looked at the picture, and confirmed it was a bed bug. He was kind, apologetic, and professional. Unfortunately, the General Manager was dismissive, condescending, and never once apologized for the inconvenience. Other issues during our stay included a hot tub with only six working jets and an elevator that made a hard jolting stop on the 5th floor, making it feel unsafe to ride. After getting home, we had to hot wash all of our belongings to avoid bringing bugs home. I also emailed management the photos and was told I would hear back after an inspection, but days later I still have not received any follow-up. This was supposed to be a special birthday trip for my daughter. Instead, it was stressful and upsetting. "
