We stayed in what was called the “modern” suite, a kitsch and garishly designed suite that was a far cry from “modern” in today’s standards. Where it really fell short was the experience and service. "The room I was allocated was comfortable, clean. It has balcony (not private but I did not mind as chatted with neighbours with side view to the water. Room was also spacious. I like that it has plates and cutlery. The hotel is a very walking distance to the water ferries to Queen Charlotte sounds. "

"The room we were in, James Cook, was wonderful. Clean, well equipped, comfortable, with a lovely deck. It was also great to have breakfast provided each day. Steffan and Michelle are fantastic hosts. Warm, proactive, helpful, and fun. I highly, highly recommend this place."

"The self check in was easy. Our Ferry came in quite later than scheduled so it was a quick stay over before leaving the next day. Too short of a stay to find anything wrong but much nicer and spacious than a regular motel. Very clean. 5 minutes off the Ferry. The spa was nice and so was the balcony in our unit. It was nice to have a grocery store and gas station so close they could easily be located just by looking out the window and not involve following any directions."

Everything is comfortable and it comes with underground parking. The views are beautiful, and the location is hard to beat. You can walk everywhere in Picton.
