"Absolutely fabulous few days away. This is a real gem of a hotel. Quiet and secluded but a real joy to experience. The staff are so helpful and genuine (Rosie, Sharon and Oliver deserve medals) There was plenty of choice for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was tasty and well presented. The evening dinner menu and quality of food was 10/10. I think it could be even better with a slightly extended menu. We will be back x"

"The staff were excellent hosts and assisted us with in person enquiries but a couple of emails i sent prior to check in went unanswered. Yes, room 12 we stayed in was rather noisey ( even at night )being on the main road side but earplugs were provided. I don't know what the other rooms are like. I did manage to fall asleep till about 4.30am. The floors boards in the room and just outside in the corridor creaked and felt unstable when walked on. The bathroom was a little on the small side but...

"We had a wonderful stay. The room was perfect and loved wandering through the gardens and nearby walks despite the weather. Cosy evening by the fireplace, red wine and board games. The Christmas decorations were tasteful and festive. Fantastic team of staff and look forward to returning."

"Unfortunately the hotel had some problems in the kitchen which impacted very badly on the menu for dinner, the breakfast, service (so slow) and noise. It would have been better to fix the problems before reopening or to have had the courtesy to let us know in advance what the situation was. I would have stayed somewhere else. Extremely disappointing as I’ve had lovely stays here in the past. "
