"The Hotel charged a $400 resort fee when Expedia guaranteed an all inclusive rate on their website. And it was just a hotel, it had zero amenities. Both of the companies are fraudulent."
Residence Inn by Marriott Washington, DC National Mall
2/10 Terrible
"Room was nice, parking garage sucked. Was not at the height the sign said. Ended up having to reverse out of parking garage. And was charged 60$ just to park. Ice machine and vending machines were sold out. When telling staff they acted like it was a normal thing. Next day called to get refunded for parking fee I washing up on by a front desk lady named Anna."
"We had a nice stay until our final night. When around 10pm a mouse was running amok in our room and gave us a jump scare! It wasn’t a huge deal for us (we’re not afraid of mice). I know it’s good protocol to report this immediately to staff, but our baby was already asleep and we didn’t want to cause any late night commotion!
This morning, I decided to respectfully let the receptionist know that there’s a mouse on the 4th floor. She just said “mhmm” and nodded, clearly not surprised by this fact. After what felt like a whole minute, she finally said she will let the cleaner know. I’m not sure what the cleaner will do, as the hotel already appeared clean! I did the right thing and didn’t even get a simple thank you from staff. I guess the only way to get the hotel to care is to get angry and make a big scene….
TLDR: if you dislike mice, look elsewhere"
"Fantastic stay. The room was on the smaller side but didn’t feel tight. Loved the king bed, comfortable and a genuine treat. Everything’s modern and thoughtfully done, and the staff were great throughout. Add a quiet-street location that’s still close to the Metro and walkable to plenty, and it’s an easy recommendation. Would book again."
