"No air con in the hotel rooms so a little uncomfortable if hot day. However everything else was superb! Breakfast was lovely and staff couldn’t do anymore for you."

"Unfortunately, no A/C in room, which is not unusual, but on a very hot day for England, the bathroom towel racks were in full heat and almost boiling. Neither we nor the hotel manager could shut them off. One single fan provided little/no relief and room temp was + 30c degrees and never got to a comfortable temp overnight. Open windows didn’t help much. Almost zero sleep. Couldn’t wait to leave in the morning. Shame as the room and bed were otherwise good. Just couldn’t enjoy either. Big...

"I was soaking wet when I arrived and the staff couldn't be more helpful in getting me booked in quick. The room was excellent with everything I required and the breakfast had plenty of options. All in all very pleasant. Would use again if around the area. "

"Pleasant stay. Rooms look a bit dated, no plug sockets next to bed. Room wasn't hoovered before arrival. Plumbing need looking into (slow drainage and toilet flush not great) Staff were helpful. Breakfast was buffet, so unable to choose from normal breakfast menu."

"A fabulous pub / hotel! The staff were super friendly but very professional. The room we had was exceptional - a family room with double bed and 2 bunk beds (one of which housed our adult daughter without any problem). The new interior decorations were gorgeous - Pooky lights, artwork on the walls and corridors etc. Breakfast was magnificent (full vegetarian) and the bar in the evening was great with good choice of drinks and background music at the right level. "Lovely stop on the way to Cornwall. Gorgeously comfortable bed and linen. We arrived exhausted from a long transatlantic flight with 2 cats and the owner was so kind to us. She saved our bacon as we honestly could not have driven further! Superb breakfast and we will definitely return 💜"

"Great pub super location but the restaurant part needs looking at had English breakfast twice and it started at 8am we sat down at 8.05 and the bacon, sausage, hash brown were rock hard and a lot of people were asking for yogurt but were told sorry but delivery was late (3 days late) Would we go again.
