Great stsy at the Red lion

Lovely nights stay at the Red lion whilst visiting Oulton park, we were looked after from the minute we arrived until we left, Evening meal was lovely, as was the breakfast. We will definitely be returning.

5* welcome, friendly staff, lovely thick towels to lose yourself in after a hot shower, comfy beds and a fantastic breakfast to clear the cobwebs the next day.

Friendly, Immaculate, Perfect for Oulton

Brilliantly friendly village local pub with clean rooms and great food. Super warm welcome from the couple who run it, and a less than 10 min walk to Oulton Park. The room decor is a little dated, but it is exceptionally clean and has everything you need. I’ll definitely be back.

The new owners are very friendly as are the staff. Our evening meal was excellent. I had the gammon and asked if I could have mash instead of chips which I got and it was beautiful. Hubby had chicken salad and it was also excellent. We really enjoyed our one night stay.

The excellent Red Lion lnn

Spotlessly clean and spacious room. Helpful and friendly staff and management. Lovely setting in quiet picturesque village between Northwich and Chester, perfect for sightseeing. Excellent breakfast. Cosy quiet country pub which l would recommend and will stay again when l next visit the area.

Nice staff. Rooms and infrastructure very tired. Real issue is room smelt of vomit. One bed in particular appeared to be the source of the issue which became unbearable once covers were taken back. How could they not notice? Evening food good portions but basic. Breakfast ok, but tea & coffee not to standard. At £140/ night could do better.
