Had 2 rooms, 1st one was a smoking room, and the cleanliness of it was highly questionable, not to mention that the door was very insecure..

chosen purely because we needed a place to stay late notice for the ECU graduation weekend, and all the places in Greenville were either way overpriced or already booked. we knew this was a small town, this hotel was better rated than the others in the town, which is not saying a lot. one of the beds had crumbs under the cover, so it obviously hadn't really been cleaned - just remade the bed after the previous occupant, but the 2nd bed had fresh sheets. the remote buttons didn't work - only power and chanel up down, no changing the volume for this room! the AC was super loud, but hey - white noise is a plus right? and it did eventually cool the room down. the shower was clean although the shower head was very low, made for a child. the soap dish with refilled complimentary toiletaries had a cockroach leg and a single hair on it - so that had obviously not been cleaned. whole place smelled of smoke, which makes sense being a nonsmoking room in a smoking property - it permeates everything. we were there for probably 12 hours total and our suitcase smelled of cigarettes when we got home. we did feel safe and the checkin person was nice. I'd say it was akin to staying at your crazy aunt's house for a night - she tried to clean, but cannot expect much right? there is a pizza place that shares the parking lot and a mcdonalds on the other side so you have some food options. i'd say for the bare necessity (a place to sleep for a night) it met that requirement.

Location is convenient for our family visits. Price is good. Basically, we just need a place to sleep. There is a bit of an odor in the hallways and the room. They do actually allow smoking in some of the rooms so it doesn’t stay contained in just those rooms. We now carry Fabreeze fabric and spray the room down when we arrive and leave to visit with family. When we return there is a big difference. But, as I said, we only need a place to sleep so it works for us.

Affordable, clean, and very safe location close to everything. The rooms were very clean and the hotel is so cozy and unique. It looks like a big mansion inside with the nice balcony so it gives it a very homey/cozy feel. I am returning to this hotel every single time I’m back in tarboro

We have begun to use this Quality Inn when we come to Oak City to see our grand children. The first stay, just a few weeks ago was great. The breakfast has little to offer but there are many alternatives within walking distance for breakfast. This time, all the above except our room has a distinct order. We didn’t want to take time to switch rooms so we bought Fabreeze and sprayed it down. Problem pretty much solved. We’ll be back though.

Curtains were dirty, bed lining was dirty we brought our own lining to sleep with thank god we did! Bath tub was dirty. I had to disinfectant everything and clean the tub so we could shower.. staff was nice

Was put in a smoking room. Cigarette burns on the bed, the bed cover was filthy. Front desk would not refund. Left immediately to find a new hotel 30 miles away. Terrible.

For the month I stayed there it was all good, just had a small problem where I had to ask 2 days in a row to change my beddings, but other than that everything was great.

When i got there and went to my room the TV didn’t work so i had to request for another room. Then i get in next room and the AC barely work and i saw two roaches in the bathroom sink. Very very disturbing

It does not represent It's name, the door handle to our room was somewhat broken, however, it did serve It's purpose, bit it needs to be repaired. When we enter into the lobby to check in, it smelled like old cigarettes smoke. The pool did look pleasing at all, not like in the description where the was crystal blue and clean. The sofabed was stained and dirty.

In town two nights for a funeral, found the hotel clean, attractive, quiet, and in good repair with helpful desk staff. The bed was very comfortable, and things in the room worked. Breakfast was good and was available for an appropriate length of time. I have paid more and gotten less at a number of places; I certainly would stay here again given the opportunity.

The hotel was ok. The breakfast was good and the lady that attended to the breakfast was awesome. She was so sweet. She was constantly refilling and wiping everything down to make sure everything was clean. However, the motel smelled completely of smoke everywhere you went. The front desk personnel (with the exception of the male at the desk in the evening) were always talking on the phone and not seemingly interested in customer service. The male that manned the desk at night was nice and greeted everyone as they entered. The parking situation is very lacking- especially handicapped spaces. I would hate for a handicapped person to be staying alone. I had to drop my elderly father off at the front and park in the back of the pizza hut next door due to lack of parking.

The hair dryer got hot and was smoking. I had to turn it off. The treadmill did not work. I was told by staff that it needed work. The coffee was average at best.

Adequate lodging for myself. Wife would not have liked it if she had come. Staff was friendly. Bed was comfortable. Had fridge (very cold temps) and microwave. Bathroom was clean and in good shape. Overall everything was clean. Drawer pull missing from a drawer. Breakfast was all carbs, no protein. Was there 15 minutes after it opened. Trash was full, waffle batter empty. Had breakfast elsewhere. Abandoned car in the parking lot (or one that did not move during my 5 days there. ) Could use some paint in places. Back door was ajar as key card would not work on it. Was ok but would see what other options were available.
