"Marine hotel in Tankerton was very comfortable. It was extremely cold while we were there but lovely lady in housekeeping gave us a radiator for our room which really helped warm the room. All staff, particularly Karen on reception and Patsy in the restaurant, plus many whose names I don’t know who really were excellent for which we thank you all so much for making our stay so enjoyable! "

"We only stayed for one night for a wedding but was greeted by a lovely lady who took me to our room. Grounds were being cut at the time and maintained lovely. Had to leave early the next morning so missed out on breakfast and didn’t get much time here but sept lovely. Very peaceful right by the big pond. Will come back again for a proper break and a book ! "The property far exceeded our expectations, clean, tidy and warm, it is located in a quiet location on the grounds away from the main house any you feel like your totally self contained. The owner lets you be, and sent just a couple of courteous emails in case we wanted things like change of towels. the property is only about 7min drive to the centre of Canterbury. "

"We really had a great time. The room was comfortable and clean and breakfast was excellent. The bus service in and out of Canterbury and around Kent was perfect. We will definitely do this again. It was wonderful value for money we really enjoyed it."

"The one thing that stood out to me most of all was the staff!! Wow!! For this alone I would come back and travel 2 hours from home just to visit the staff again! What wonderful care and attention the man and the young lady at the front desk took! Thank you for a wonderful stay! Food is 5* minimal but just what you need and always being refreshed and topped up!. Rooms are basic but clean and tidy! "

"We got the best room to my knowledge, Room #7. It was large for the Site, had a nice tub and a nice view of the Stout(river). The people made it amazing but I will say that the food there was excellent as well. Best Scotch Egg I have ever had!!! It is not luxury but very charming, and still has refinement!! "
