Friendly helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Private sauna. Beautiful medieval building with character. Spacious well heated rooms. Great location - just round the corner from the town hall square but quiet at night. Near to good restaurants. Staff at the hotel gave us good recommendations - you need to make reservations a few weeks in advance. We had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

Romantic place close to everything we needed. Quiet even though in the middle of old town. Free shots of Vana Tallinn and Red wine in the lobby, great after chilly walks in the evening

Great place with Old town vibe
Amazing stay! We stayed for 2 nights. Staff was super friendly, the room was very clean and spacious. It had an old time vibe. It is in Old town Tallin and walkable to all the sights. Highly recommend it.

Very friendly staff, from reception to cleaning lady. Never before seen so many smiles in one place in Estonia! Lovely historical building. Excellent breakfast with many choises made by order. Private free sauna. So far best historical building hotel I’ve stayed in Tallin - and I have tried almost all of them.

The staff were very helpful, the hotel was clean and well appointed, had a nice breakfast, and was close to everything in central Tallinn.

We were greeted with drinks (very nice since it was a warm summer day when we arrived). The staff (especially, Margarita) was super helpful! She recommended some great places to visit. The onsite sauna was a wonderful way to end the day. Great hotel!

We wanted to experience staying at an historic property that was still comfortable and this hotel was perfect for that. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed chatting with them and getting their suggestions for dining and where to walk in the Old Town and beyond. We highly recommend this hotel.

Wow. I'm sorry that you did not enjoy your experience at the Merchants House Hotel. The hotel's rating is high as rooms, service/staff and breakfast are key for me. I personally was not working on the 5th when you checked in. But understood you did not like the first room on the ground floor and we moved you to another room on the top floor. However, I worked all day on the 6th and did not hear of any further issues nor did any guests speak to me about any problems. guests love my staff and I and the breakfast rating of the Merchants House Hotel has one of the highest in Estonia. regarding the room, if you were not happy I would have been more than happy to move you to another room. all the hotel rooms are different.
