Room had a bad odor. Hotel was full or I would have asked for a different room. Tub faucet was loose coming out of the wall and did not work well, only got 1/2 pressure as the tub faucet would not close off and force the water up to the shower head. I had 2 rooms, other room had no hot water. Beds were comfortable and clean. Towels were well worn and dingy. Place looked great from the outside with a new paint job. Wish they would fix the stuff in the rooms too.

The smell of stale cigarette smoke is terrible in the hallways and it seeps into the rooms. The person who works there is friendly. Blankets very dirty.

There was remodeling going on but it didn't wake me up too early. New mattress in room was really comfortable. I got a room in the back and it was quiet. Just don't expect much in the way of breakfast. Got a tiny muffin and a glass of OJ.

Checkin was decent. I had a hard time finding the room with minimal help no maps or directions on where like the ice machines or anything like that. The motel is under a lot of renovation so I’m sure it will be nice when it’s done, but it’s definitely a construction zone around here right now.

Staff was nice enough. Shower had no hot water. Air conditioner fan sounded like it had a roll of quarters emptied into it. Room had a musky smell to it. Honestly, it was better than I expected for one of the cheapest hotels in town during the FSU vs VT game. It served its purpose, a place to sleep, but I doubt I’ll do it again.

The room was clean, but the bathtub was old with many small cracks. However, the exterior was awful! There were 2 mattresses and 2 boxsprings lying in the grassy area, construction materials and trash lying around the edge of the parking lot, and the door to our room looked like 3 holes had been patched and paint primer put on top. It was somewhat scarey and very unpleasant to step outside and see the trash each time we went out. Three stars simply because it was clean.

Baymont by Wyndham Tallahassee – Extremely Disappointing Stay I stayed at this property last week and was very disappointed with nearly every aspect of the experience. The room itself did not feel clean: the floor was visibly dirty, and the A/C filter was extremely filthy, which made me question how well the room was being maintained overall. There was also a constant humming noise coming from the bathroom area that never stopped, making it difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep. The complimentary continental breakfast was also underwhelming. The coffee was easily the worst I’ve ever had at a hotel — it was a thick black liquid that smelled like burned tar and was completely undrinkable. Even simple items like bananas were past their prime and already brown, which again raised concerns about basic standards. The location added to the discomfort. The surrounding area is filled with abandoned hotels and did not feel safe to walk around after dark, which is not what you want when you’re traveling and hoping for a peaceful place to stay. To top it off, the hotel placed a $50 incidental charge on my credit card and never credited it back after checkout. Having to chase down a basic refund for incidentals is frustrating, especially after an already poor stay. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel. Between the cleanliness issues, noise, low-quality breakfast, unsafe-feeling surroundings, and unresolved incidental charge, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had.
