Maryanna, again we apologize for not being able to accommodate you on a last-minute booking. It was already late at night when we received the notification and immediately tried to call you many times to give referrals, as the last room we had available was already booked by the time we received your request. At that time we haven’t had chance to update the booking calendar yet. However, we did not have luck reaching out to you directly. We had to text you to cancel through Expedia where you booked with so that they can help you find a relocation - we did give Expedia numbers to call. You may not be aware, but we also had to pay Expedia for the relocation. So, it’s also terrible that we are being misjudged by a guest that do not see the whole picture.

Thank you for staying with us and for taking time to give us a review. We hope you totally enjoyed Alaska. We have 6 rooms altogether: 3 rooms each with a private bathroom, 1 stand-alone cabin, and 2 rooms that share a bathroom - one of which you booked. The 2 rooms that share a bathroom are ideal for a party of up to 5 guests, but they are also available for anyone that wouldn't mind sharing the bathroom as it is a separate room, to maintain privacy. Lucky for you that night you stayed with us as nobody booked the other room, so you had the bathroom all to yourself. If you are used to living in the city, it seems that everywhere you go in Alaska is far, especially in rural areas such as Talkeetna. You don't see the typical city crowd and noise and many tall buildings, reason most people come to visit us. We are located in a wooded neighborhood on a ridge overlooking the Alaska range and less than 10 minutes away from the downtown area - that is considered close enough for us. We enjoy the peace, quiet, clean environment, and the serene nature that come with it.
