"Our stay at Casa de Casal de Loivos exceeded our expectations. The Douro Valley views are breathtaking, especially from the terrace right outside our door while enjoying a glass of Portuguese wine. We enjoyed delicious, authentic Portuguese dinners both evenings, served family-style around a communal table with eight other guests. Sharing wonderful food, wine, and conversation with travellers from around the world made for a truly memorable dining experience. Bernardo and Paulo’s excellent wine...

"Good place to relax by the pool. Great dinner and very quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful- especially Nada."

"The lodging was well maintained and fit our needs perfectly, including an elevator to the first floor for my husband with bad knees. Staff was attentive to any requests. Rooms were spacious and equipped with all our needs. Breakfast was substantial and beautifully presented. A perfect central locations to do day trips to 4 other northern Aldeias Historicas."

"This property is absolutely stunning! The entire staff is so kind and helpful. The food was amazing! We stayed for 2 nights and did not leave the property. The Farm to Table dinner is a must!"
