"Staff and food were very good but stay was let down by a few niggles. I had booked a table for dinner but there was no record of it when I arrived. I had also asked for a room with a walk in shower but didn't get it. The biscuits on the tea tray were the smallest pieces of shortbread I have seen made worse by having no biscuits at all on my second night. The tea bags had not been replenished and why leave 3 cartons of long life milk for 2 people? I have stayed in many hotels with my dog and this...

"We enjoyed our stay at Newcastle Arms hotel plenty parking space, nice room compact but adequate ,very clean , plenty of tea and coffee amenities.breakfast was excellent so much choice and the black pudding was second to none, the staff were so friendly and helpful. "On entering the hotel you will be met by warm and inviting staff. off to the left of the reception is an insanely stocked whisky lounge but prices are on the steep side for you average dram. There is a 24 bar located en route to the rooms and an Aperol was £18!!! scandalous. "We loved this place. The room was cozy, clean, and quiet. We at dinner (which we planned when arrived) and did the breakfast in the morning. Nobody left hungry! The restaurant was downstairs and although they have a pub/bar, it closes at about 10 pm; we weren't able to get a drink after dinner due to the timing. We would definitely come back again."
