"Area outside the hotel is a disaster. The Mission is a great place to spend time. Plenty of options for coffee houses, restaurants, and bars. However, the area just in front of the hotel is full of people loitering."

"This is a beau hotel with history and all of the staff know it! As a native San Franciscan, To I highly recommend visitors go and at least experience the Butterfly Lounge for cocktails."

"The decor was authentically Victorian and charming. Lounging area on first floor was huge and comfortable consisting of multiple rooms and fireplaces and comfy seating. It was extra festive during the holidays with lovely decorations including an operating train set and village. Very unique hotel "
