"If you want to stay where the life is in downtown Toronto without the ridiculous price tag, the Chelsea is the place. It is a landmark that unfortunately shows its age. The room carpets should be eliminated completely, it’s dark and grungy on the feet. The plumbing also needs an update; my tub faucet dripped and the sink faucets are from the 50s. "The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the breakfast was great and the staff were helpful. The only thing was our room smelled of cigars and cigarettes that's a hard smell to get out and we are nonsmokers. My husband let them know and they are going to address the issue. "

"What was not to love about this property. The room ( family suite ) was better than expected. I loved all the space. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The outdoor restaurant had great food and service. The location made it easy to walk to local attractions. The only negative was the last night of our stay when another guest decided to throw a house party at 3am on our floor. I would stay at this property again if ever back in Toronto."
