"Room was adequate, the heated towel rail was on the other side of the bedroom wall so the bedroom was uncomfortably hot, even at night - but the wife preferred this. The bed was quite firm and a good size. It was difficult to view the TV screen from the settee on the back wall. Tea (Yorkshire) and coffees were plentiful - not so much biscuits. Full English, plus cereals, juice, toast and tea/coffee refills welcome."

The wait staff was exceptional as well. The food was excellent, the setting idyllic, and location walkable to The Chatsworth House! "Had a 2 night stay at this property, very happy with our visit, couldn't really fault it to be fair, as we didn't really spend a lot of time there apart from our first night. The room was clean and the bed was very comfy, the staff were very helpful and cheerful, had breakfast on both mornings, opted for the classic breakfast, which was ample, the bar was well stocked and plenty staff serving. If I was to be picky, it is very minor points, I requested a twin room, but had a room for disabled...

"A really well positioned hotel for Alderley Edge and surrounding area. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast options and quality of food was very good. The only thing that let our stay down and the reason for 3 stars was the rooms. They were very tired and could have been better maintained - scuffs on walls, dripping tap, toilet that didn’t flush properly and untidy sealant in bathroom. We also asked the cleaner to re-clean the room as there was dust and a cobweb which was done...
