"We used to stay here many years back when visiting relatives in the area. Now it has turned into a Spa Resort, great for those who like and want to be pampered, no problems there, but we did find the restaurants evening menu is now very restricted for choice., plus there was always cold blasts of air, making it very uncomfortable to dine. Back in the day the then Ostler restaurant was far superior"

"This hotel has seen better days, though I would hazard a guess that they were a long time ago. It needs a lot of work doing to it to bring it in line with modern hotels, even budget ones. Having a double room with the bed pushed up against the wall, so you can only get out on one side is a really poor layout. The bathroom was really quite grotty and the room just felt grimy. I was only staying because my flight landed after all the trains had finished running, but one night was a night too...

"The spa and pool was love, we realkt enjoyed it, but we had no kettle in our room we walked to reception and asked for one, I offered to collect it and take it back but they saud no a member of staff will bring it , we never received it, so couldn't have any drinks in our room, room was clean but dated , but on the whole we enjoyed it, breakfast was great"
