Very good location, very near to Stoke on Trent train station, restaurants area and nearby University area.
Staff was very polite and friendly.
worth price!
Nice place very clean, John is a great bloke. Only downside was there was no key to lock the door while out of room

1 night for work
Single room, basic but functional.
Bed fairly comfortable.
Some confusion about check in/my booking but was resolved easily.
Affordable
Was quite nosiy in the morning, walls are thin/sound proofing not great so you can hear people coming and going.
Clean and comfortable accommodation. Very pleasant staff.
There were no facilities for breakfast at the accommodation or for making tea/coffee in the room.
My main concern was the lack of ability to come and go without having to make contact with the property manager by phone, with the possible roblem that they were using their phone and consequently couldn't respond promptly.

Nice room and ensuite
The guest house is in a very run down part of stoke on Trent. There is free parking but most is permit holders and 1 hour parking. We had trouble finding somewhere to park all day . The room and ensuite is clean and good decoration. There is a lounge/ kitchen you can use . There is no TV or kettle in the room. Joseph the manager is very friendly and helpful. I would say this is ideal for a single traveller on a budget.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Clean and fine for our needs.
We stayed in a double room for the purposes of visiting Alton Towers. The location was perfect being about 40 minutes away.
The room was basic but clean and comfortable with a private shower and toilet. No tv but this was fine. Downstairs had a communal kitchen and seated area which was clean. I only used facilities to make a cup of tea. Joseph (manager) was welcoming, friendly and was always nearby to answer any questions. £20 refundable deposit was required for the room key.
Fireworks went off first night which was annoying but no fault of the property. Free parking on one side of street which was ideal.
Walls were a bit thin so you could hear doors opening and closing so earplugs advisable. But overall ok for our needs - to lay our heads for a couple of nights.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Not sure what to make of it
Very bizarre set up. Set up as HMO rather than B&B.
No Tv. Your not allowed a front door key, so staff come to door when you leave and enter. Although staff are polite, quite alot of miscommunications. Room was not very clean. Shower was blocked and caused a flood. It is in a very bad area and quite noisy till gone 2am. Can hear staff downstairs loud tv till that time too. Very strong smells permeating building. Did use laundry facilities which was nice. Used as a basepoint to visit: Alton Towers,Alton Towers Waterpark and Trentham Estate. Close to Train Station. Close by to shops. I prefer proper B&B/ Hotel set up: Allowed to come as go as you please,tv, privacy. Staff aren't sitting in common area all day.
I booked two rooms as a last minute stay. Immediately on bookimg I had two phone calls that I missed as I was in my way to the accommodation. I then received a text message to tell me they could not accommodate my booking and to cancel. I was adviced by Expedia not to cancel as this would be against the cancellation policy - I am still trying to get a refund and will probably have to esculate the process
Will not be going back, poor cleanliness and smelled terrible. We did not get access to the front door after hours. I knocked the door for ages before I could be let in. Very old blankets.

property is a HMO not a guest house
tv didnt work in the lounge
no tv in the rooms
the wifi didnt work
smoke alarms going off all night
Absolutely terrible place! Firstly they told to go to a different address than advertised, then when i arrived there was water pouring down from the ceiling in the reception room. No electricity for about an hour. I was a given just a single room when i paid for an ensuite. Then got told off for using the washing machine! Avoid this place at all costs
Wanted to leave for work at 5am but the door was locked and had to wait until 6am-bloody annoying. Smelt heavy of African cooking which is off putting. Also contact details do not work. Terrible place
Unfortunately one of the worst places I've ever stayed. No keys to the room or front door provided - the staff member stating it was policy as guests lose them! No way of locking the door upon leaving the room.
Bathroom was down the corridor past other rooms and did not appear to be private as described. Dusty sink. Barely any loo paper that ran out.
No wifi detected. This is clearly a barely-adapted private house. Inner front door handle came off in the hand! Nobody around in the early morning so no way of locking the front door behind me. I felt insecure throughout the thankfully short stay.
