Great value for Money!
I stayed here after a terrible game of football at the weekend. The host was extremely hospitable, kind, friendly and welcoming. The room had all the basic amenities we needed. A local takeaway delivered me a 'Parmo' which was an absolute treat. Very good value for money indeed

We had a lovely nights stay at yarm cottages. very dog friendly. we were given a bigger room on arrival due to my disability so I would have more space to move around. We are looking forward to a return visit later in the year.

Not for me
I am not usually one to leave a review, These are very dated (they are supposed to be oldy worldy but this was just knocked together accommodation, i had the Hayloft room even though i had booked the Paddock, No WIFI even though it states you do, very noisy as i had an adjoining room, paper this walls, and the family in the Forge, just opposite my room let their children play in their car beeping the horn and flashing the lights until about 9 pm.

I wouldn’t call 1720 double bedroom ensuite knocked together . I mentioned to you BT had an outside line fault with some of the properties in the area this I could do nothing about!This is a very quite country lane surrounded by fields I think the children only enjoyed themselves playing I don’t think quirky is for you

Great Location
First night was not so good as the Cottage was near a main road with street lamps beaming light directly into the cottage. The host moved us the next day without any issues.

Charmant, mais pas trop confortable
Chambre très petite, pas de place pour une valise. Heureusement les voisins étaient des couche tôt car aucune isolation phonique. Je pouvais les entendre respirer !

Yarm
Very quaint cottage style studio room. Clean comfortable and in a nice area with a pub 5 steps away. My only criticism is the WiFi was poor.

this place was quaint, out of the way and had a lovely pub beside it. although the pub didn’t offer vegan options for food, we were able to make use of the mini fridge, microwave, kettle and cutlery given in our cottage. it had a VERY comfy bed may i add, however walls were very thin and we could hear all of the conversations the people in the cottage next door were having. seating area provided right outside your door step to soak in the sun too if you fancied it. however a more private area/back garden would improve this facility

Fine for one nighy
The property was fine, the bed was comfy but the room has definitely seen better days. The owner was very accommodating and accepted my late turning up without much complaint.

Def not worth £70
Very small room with very thin walls. I was woken up by neighbours. There was dust on the floor, crumbs all around appliances, black mould in the bathroom and dirty floor mats. The bed was not as supporting and mattress deformed significantly. Tired towels and bathroom poorly ventilated

Disappointed
First impressions were lovely and welcoming. However I was very disappointed with the room: There was no Wifi, not available networks were detected TV didn’t’t work, I know these thing happen and would’ve been fine however the TV controller was filthy and wouldn’t have been keen to use it. The toilet would’ve been a tight squeeze for a large person, the shower tiles were dirty and mould in the corners. The toilet brush had faeces on it. The shower room was very small and to get dressed you had the walk through the kitchen which was beside a road and no curtains. Sorry I don’t like to leave negative reviews but this was an exception. I did take photos but think it best not to include.

Very cosy properties, imaginatively decorated and very well equipped. Angie always seems to be around if you have a question. Excellent pub near by.

VERY nice host, Angie but could use a deep clean
Angie's cottages are very quaint and it really feels like you're staying in someone's house. Guests are expected to clean up after themselves and it seems like they don't do a very good job. Some dishes were not cleaned well and there were someone else's socks under the bed. I recommended a mattress topper for the full bed downstairs. We couldn't get the Wi-Fi to work even with Angie's tip to go across the road to pick up the hub access. The Fox Covert pub and restaurant has excellent food and excellent wifi. The location had a very local feel. It was a comfortable quiet place to wind down after a long vacation.

Communication was great, reception staff very friendly. Cottage itself was awful. Filthy and absolutely stunk of cigarettes. The bedding looks like it has been in use for the last 10 years. Booked for 2 nights, left after 1.

This was a very quirky cottage in ideal location. We stayed over Christmas and was pleased to see decorations up. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Very welcoming arrival by Angie, easy parking, very good facilities, everything provided, warm cosy atmosphere, good showers etc. One thing that was lacking (especially as we were there for a wedding) is lack of wardrobes for hanging space and very little drawers in the bedroom. The whole cottage is very well equipped with settees and seating but needs more places to put clothes etc.

Quirky place perfect for short stay
Loved this place, accurately described as 3 ⭐️ Cheap accommodation that was fun! Clean and cosy, compact, but if only staying a night or two ideal. We had a 6 person cottage with two fairly spacious bathrooms but tiny kitchenette (which was fine) kids thought they had arrived at the hobbits house and loved it. Living area doubled as kitchen and sleeping but worked. Loved the eclectic decor. Angie the owner was very helpful and friendly. Only negative is poor WiFi. Very happy with my stay and feel we got what we paid for.

This place needs serious improvements.
You get this feeing you are in a real cottage. Scenic location also. But, the property is in need of much need of some improvements. The bathroom’s condition and the shower stall can be described as something you will build in your basement to accommodate guests, who won’t have acces to the standard bathrooms upstairs. There was no phone in the room either. The bed was comfortable. But, there was hardly any space to hang your clothes.

Very convenient.
Convenient stop over for picking up from Durham university. Great location next to a pub, perfect for our evening meal. Very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms were clean, comfortable and cozy, all facilities we could want. Only problem we had was in connecting to WiFi, but there was a good signal, so it wasn’t an issue. Would stay again.

Good price for a 2-bed apartment on an overnight stay, but the bathrooms are small and cramped. Main bedroom doubles as living room which would be inconvenient for longer stays
