"This hotel is very well situated, the parking is a bonus and the views from the restaurant are stunning. The food was well cooked and the waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the age of the building and the reason why there was no lift but we struggled somewhat to lug two suitcases up to the top floor as our room was in the converted attic. The view from the room was great and the room itself was spacious, it could have benefited from a fridge and some of the roller...

"A perfectly pleasant hotel, if a little generic, What it lacked in atmosphere as a place, was lifted by the helpful, friendly and cheerful staff, who went out of their way to make us feel at home."

"This was our first time staying here and definitely won’t be the last. From beginning to end a wonderful experience. Both hosts professional, friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast. Comfy beds with super shower and spotless well equipped room. Made to feel extremely welcome 😊"

"Service throughout stay was very good, check in quick and with no issues. Room spacious and had all the amenities required. Breakfast and restaurant meals very good with great selection for both."

"Excellent staff committed to ensuring that the Cliff Hotel is one of the best three star hotels. Consistently good over a number of visits I have made."

"Says on website on site parking did not see any"

"Lovely big bathroom , very comfortable bed. Parking wasn’t a problem at all as parking right outside on the street ."

"Accessible room. We love the spacious room with a fridge (so useful for some medication). The room was clean and stocked with basic tea, coffee and milk. The bed is a double. We would prefer a king-size but there would be less space around the bed. The mattress was very soft and not supportive. It was awkward, as people with reduced mobility, to sit on the side of the bed...my partner slid off. Also the bedside tables are tiny. More space is needed for medical equipment used at night plus a...

"From the outside the property had old style appeal and parking which was a positive however when taken to our room this was at the back of the property and you had to pass washing hanging online, a laundry shed and general toot and tat. The entrance to the stairway to the room went past the back of the kitchen where the door was permanently open so you heard all the usual professional kitchen noises.. The stairway to the room smelt of cooking fat and there were dead flowers on the window with...

"Liked how the staff upgraded us and were responsive to our feedback. Liked the bed and linen, and how, mostly, the apartment was clean. Liked how Oulton Broad North railway station was walkable, and how room 11 has a parking space - if hard to find and quite tight. The place was good value. Not so good: There was a stained grey rug in the living area that needs replacing. We didn’t have a tea towel or oven gloves until we asked. There was no bath mat - and not enough hooks to hang towels on."

"Room was shabby, furniture scratched and well-worn. Bathroom icy cold. However, on bringing these points to the attention of the staff, a heater was delivered - thank you. Obviously there was no quick solution to the shabbiness of the room (suite 2 Manor House). Some of the food was poor, but again on raising this, staff dealt with it. On balance, we feel the staff did what they could to manage our concerns."

"Very nice room (just need more attention to cleaning the floors) and good burger meal in the pub - thank you!"

"Great overnight stay for my sons birthday, we ordered take out & used the pool for hours"

"Stayed many times over the 3 years my son has been at UEA. Normally very good. Unfortunately the most recent was a little disappointing mostly due to the room I was allocated. I booked an executive single based on a previous stay in one of these rooms however the nicer rooms are actually only the doubles. It isn’t made very clear that an executive single purely means a slightly bigger bed. There’s nothing really executive about them (or room 15 anyway) whatsoever. In fact the room looks...

"Very characterful and unique - little bits of history all over the place, and nice big sitting rooms to relax in."
