"The room was dirty and the carpet was broken"

"Needed an economical hotel for two nights to see Broadway shows. While the property and building are definitely older, everything was clean and put together. The front desk was great and housekeeping did a great job. It is a smaller (typical) NYC hotel room. The mattress is not the best quality, but was fine for two nights. Note that the a/c isn’t central, but is a unit in the window. I was concerned when we arrived, but cranked it up while we were out and made everything nice and cool. I personally wouldn’t stay here more than a couple nights, it it’s extremely convenient to Broadway theaters and great restaurants."
