"Albeit it was a busy weekend with football and concert, the bar could have done with a few chairs. There were none. The room was spacious and comfortable. Thank god the extract fan from the kitchen turned off before l went to bed. The pigeons residing in the windowsill woke me up at 0.600 so never needed my alarm. That needs sorting. Place needs a major upgrade. Shower was very bad ( like being in the Baltics in 1967 ) even the hot tap went cold for a few minutes??? But l have to say that the staff were exceptionally nice. They have their work cut out on match days. Please spend a bit on a plumbing upgrade. It really needs it. Get a fully pumped return system so hot water is available within the regulations. I’m a plumber."

"Room appeared OK on first walking in however the beds were extremely uncomfortable, the pillows were the most lumpy pillows I have ever seen - they must be many years old and are extremely uncomfortable. There was no soap available in the soap dispensers. There were white stains on one of the pillows and one of the duvets."

"The property is really nice but you can start to see its age. The bar and restaurant were great, friendly staff and good food. Under ground parking is very tight to don’t bring any big cars. Overall great stay."

"The room was lovely, and the food was tasty but what constitutes ‘breakfast included’ is not clear stated when you sit down. Only filter coffee, which tastes awful, and tea are included - proper coffee, which you would expect included is extra (the waiter told us when we ordered). The Hoxton is a good hotel, but this is penny pinching. "

"I struggled to rate this hotel fairly. It is a nice hotel. The rooms are clean. The location is perfect. It is surrounded by restaurants, shopping, and about a 20-minute walk to most theaters. The reason I won’t stay here again is that the walls are paper thin. I could hear every conversation in the room next to us, and it seemed as if they were speaking in a “regular” volume. We could hear every room in our vicinity’s doors closing in the hallway. Also no air conditioning so you will most likely need to sleep with your window open. One night, there was a car alarm that went off for a long time. The hotel does leave ear plugs next to the bed, so I am sure they are aware of this issue."
