My stay was great! The staff were courteous and helpful, the lobby and room and were super clean. My only complaint is that my room had a couple of mosquitos. I stayed on the 3rd floor with no open windows so I don’t know how the buggers got there! I got bit (they always love me) and they liked to hang by the shower so I knew how to find them! Overall I had a great stay and would stay again.
We enjoyed this old hotel which has been redone to have a boutique vibe.
The front has a large seating area both inside and out, and we found this very convenient and comfortable.
The sister hotel next door has all the amenities needed for your stay. Food, cocktails, pool, spa, and shuttle.
Definitely will be back, we loved it here!
The Stay was amazing. The pool Area was a dream. LJ he bartender is the best! When I go back I hope she is there. Food was great as well. Met amazing people while there. I just want to say I cant wait to go back.
Staff were amazing and the sister hotel system is incredible. Easily the best experience I have ever had at a hotel, and the Hotel cat was a nice plus :) shoutout Baby
The stay here was perfect for my needs. Free parking was well marked and easy. I got there early and was able to check in for no extra cost. I was offered a free upgrade to a suite (I declined because it was just me) Check in was very quick and Brian was friendly and helpful. He gave me a free appetizer card for the sister hotel (Hollander) next door. (The Mussels were very good). They had free water bottles and a shuttle that ran back and forth to Tropicana Field for the baseball games. I ended up walking and it was about 25 minutes and a little over a mile. The room was very small but so was the price! It had a ceiling fan and a window ac unit which I turned down to 70 and it was comfortable and not loud. The building and rooms are very old but everything was clean. They had a small workout room and a pool next door, but I didn't use either. It is close to DTSP and the pier. I went to 2 games and the savings on parking was worth it to me. I usually book with Marriott but not for $37 a night parking! As long as you don't mind a small room in a old building I would recommend this and will book again.
Pleasantly surprised with the upgrade to a suite. The room was tastefully decorated. There was a stove, microwave oven and a coffee machine. The room was clean as well as the bathroom. Staff was very help full and made us fell welcomed. Air-condition was great. Free parking, but tight. There is no free breakfast but there are plenty of restaurants to choose from.
This is a nicely refurbished old hotel. Our room and bathroom were small but reasonably well-appointed. The staff was friendly and helpful. One suggestion would be to put a bedside table on both sides of the king bed. It's a great location and I would stay again.
Very clean wonderful staff. Perfect location priced great. Can’t truly say enough good. Definitely in my top 5 best paces to stay. The only downside that we experienced was people not picking up after their animals. Had nothing to do with the hotel though. We loved every minute.
Avalon was an old but adorable boutique hotel. The rooms were clean and well decorated. The staff was excellent, very accommodating and answered all the questions I needed for last minute stay couldn't be more happy.
