"A wonderful experience! The room was absolutely spotless with everything in there that one needs.Fresh milk,fruit,yoghurts,water,tea and coffee bags and even pain eu chocolate! The en-suite was amazing,a huge walk in shower that had really good water pressure.I will definitely be staying there again …"

"Absolutely wonderful, went above and beyond to help with a last minute change. Room was immaculate, everything you need and the location could not be better, 2 minutes to everything we wanted!"

"The room was spotless and featured a balcony with views over the sea. Attention to guests every need were in the room. Huge bath with a shower, backlit mirror, glass tumblers and wine glasses, penny of tea,coffee and biscuits. The bed was so comfortable and it was quiet too. Lovely friendly hosts. "

"Good onsite parking within a very short walk to Battle high street and abbey but unfortunately the abbey park grounds were closed but none the less had a lovely pre Christmas one night stay at the Chequers, the food was of good quality both evening and breakfast, staff friendly and helpful, the room spacious and mattress very comfortable but could all do with refreshing but bear in mind it is a very old Inn circa 1478 but what is really needed are blackout blinds on the windows as our room was...

"We had an amazing 4 days at the property. The owner was fantastic providing us with bread, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, butter amongst other things. The property was lovely and cozy and would highly recommend. The high street was a short walk with some great dining options ☺️"

"I was disappointed with this stay. For the amount of money it cost, the caravan was not clean, was overcrowded and needs a lot of smarting up. You had to pay extra to have bedding which I think is unreasonable, particularly how much it cost per night anyway. Communication with the host was fine but not great. Unfortunately I won’t be recommending or returning to this property. "
