Room could use a little TLC with things like a broken soap dish in the shower, but we are an active outdoor couple and don't need grand comfort. You are in the tropical jungle so expect bugs. "Siesta was a really great hotel overall. The rooms were very clean and well maintained, especially in this climate where bugs can be everywhere. The staff was pleasant and generally helpful, although some days they forgot to give us towels. Was never a big issue as a quick call and they were good in responding pretty quickly. THE HILL. "The actual location and property is 10/10. I love the peace and quiet and non-touristy vibe of the place. Rooms were huge and airy and have that amazing old colonial architectural feel to it. My only issue is that the breakfast sucks big time. No local breakfast was available. Being away from the restaurant and options - I was forced to eat dry bread and halved cook plantain and eggs.
