Fantastic location - walkable to tons of restaurants, bars, shops. Diocletian’s Palace is right outside your window. Lovely bar / restaurant in the plaza below the apartment to get one last nightcap as you wind down your night. Short walk from parking (you cannot drive within the palace areas), but worth the hassle. A few stairs to navigate with luggage, but doable if you’re of sound body.

In front of Diocletian Palace! We saw Opera from our window. It’s a building protected by UNESCO, so beautiful! Just open your windows and enjoy the views EXCELLENT!

Absolutely loved the historical features of this apartment and the very best location in the historic center. The apartment is large, clean and the window that opened out to all the music festivities was a super surprise. If you’re an early bird, I suggest walked all around early in the morning before the crowds. You can enjoy the breathtaking architecture and feel the essence of your surroundings.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautifully refurbished property in a former palace, in Split, Old City.It was renovated to the highest standard and is very beautiful and comfortable. The location is amazing, right next to Diocletian’s Palace. The window in the living room looks out on all the action! It is very convenient for exploring fascinating Split. A great buffet breakfast was provided in a close-by hotel dining room, 200m. Communication with the host was easy via mob and email. The only small comment I can make to improve the experience would be provide something to hang wet clothes, such as bathing suits and towels. Split has great beaches and we did go swimming. I would highly recommend this property to fellow travelers and would definitely stay here again.👍👍👍

Good but on day before check out, staff Told me I needed to checkout that day because another guest was checking In. I showed them my reservation through Hotels.com and they said sorry but someone else is checking so you’ll ave to Check out. So who made the mistake? The property or hotel.com? I had to go find another hotel for my last night. They said owner was in hospital so nothing they could do. Really?

Worst Experience Ever

Avoid this place at all costs. Paid cash for another week after checking in and the manager stole my money. Terrible communication and aggressive behavior from the hosts. Avoid at all cost

Living split history at this establishment

Pros: can't beat the location and history of the place. Large apartment room with separate living room. Adjacent to Luxor cafe (where you will get your breakfast; limited to 3 options)- with awesome live music nightly - wafting through your window if you like. Walkable to all old town sights/eateries. Short walk to central bus station (to take day trips to trogir, airport, krka national park, etc.) Cons: this isn't a hotel; it's an apartment residence. No front desk. There was no daily cleaning/bed sheet changes (a lot for 6 day stay). Limited toiletries (only got 3 small bottles of shampoo/soap/conditioner. Had to buy additional supplies. The adjancent cathedral tower bell tolling every day, starting at 6 AM, then 7 AM, etc (occasionally 6:15 am/7:15 am, etc.)

Perfect location

Amazing location and beautiful setting. Overlooking the best of the original palace. Great breakfast. The communication was lacking and first email was not answered. Later communication did not specify details about parking or arrival so we were left sitting on the curb for 20 minutes at 7 pm waiting for someone to come and let us in. Worth the work to get there if preparation is made with some of the difficulties of parking and planning.

Amazing Roman Palace!

This place was amazing!! Inside a Roman palace you can still see the old wood ceiling and rock walls. Amazing service, they called me before I got there and helped me find the place. If you are driving you will have to find parking and walk a little. But worth it for the place you’re staying in. Very close to everything you would want to see in the city.

This is one of the most special places we've stayed. Not only is it of the most historical apartments we've seen, but it has been immaculately restored by it's owners to the highest standards. It is located directly on the Peristyle of Diocleatian's Palace in the center of Split, we kept opening one of our windows to gaze down into this amazingly preserved Roman town. The apartment is quiet, considering this location, the bed comfortable, living area perfect...cannot say more about this. If you want to stay in the best possible place in Split...this is it!
