"It was ever so hot in the hotel! The halls were very warm and when we entered our room we saw the thermostat read 25C. We tried to turn on a fan or AC to get some air movement but could only find the option for heat. Called to front desk and found out that the AC option had been "turned off" for the season and were advised to open the window. The window is only able to open a few inches... we finally got it down to 21C in the room by midnight but it was still uncomfortably stuffy and too warm to sleep under the covers. Too bad because we needed to be up early and it was such a lovely hotel. Restaurant had great food and beautiful view. Roomy bathrooms with all the details you'd expect from a Marriott Autograph hotel."

"The room was nice and clean. We had a king bed. The pillows were just right. Staff especially the front desk were friendly and even changed our room from a pet friendly room to a non pet friendly room. We were a bit early but were able to check in early. The bathroom was clean and sticked with enough towels, toilet paper and free toiletries. The hotel is conveniently located near shops and restaurants. It was relatively quiet even though near a main street in Castlegar. The free breakfast was a nice feature. It included a waffle station, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, breads, cereals, fruit, coffee, and juice. The small thing was the pool was closed temporarily as it was under maintenance."

"The Villagers Innis a diamond in the rough. Although the property is older it has a cozy homelike feel to it. Mary, the proprietor, is very friendly and accommodating and the stay was very nice overall! One the highlights is the mascot Mei Mei, a friendly black Cat that comes to great you at the door. I like the Villageers Inn because it is affordable, quiet and welcoming."
