"i was allocated a room in an building seperate to the main hotel - located at the end of the lane. There is no lighting on the lane, after my evening meal in the hotel i had to navigate back to my room down a dark lane, full of potholes / puddles using only the torch on my mobile phone. "

"Everything was fantastic from start to finish. Lovely clean room with balcony looking out towards port Isaac. My husband had the full Cornish breakfast which was huge plenty of variety. Staff so friendly couldn't do enough for you. Only problem is have is that I can't return with my little dog as the rooms are not pet friendly which is a shame "

"My room was in the coach house, just outside tje doors of the main building. It was very clean with just baked biscuits and Tregothnan tea. A gorgeous view of the garden was welcoming on arrival."

The cost of the room was also a little higher than I would have expected. Overall I rate the hotel as 4 stars. It would have been 5 stars if the room rates had been a little lower."

The restaurant was a real treat with amazing cuisine from the breakfast through to the fine dining experience in the evening. The accommodation was superb and definitely value for money. "
