Top South Central Kentucky Cultural Center Hotel Reviews
Red Roof Inn & Suites Cave City
10/10 Excellent
"This is an older, low budget hotel without a lot of amenities. If you're looking for breakfast, a big screen TV or fitness room, this place isn't for you. But what you do get for a rock bottom price and no pet fee, is a large, comfortable and extremely clean room with a well-lit parking lot. We appreciated the power strips in each nightstand that gave us plenty of convenient outlets. It's apparent that the management cares about their property and providing value. We'd definitely stay here again."
"It was super clean and the atmosphere was amazing! They were very accommodating and kind! The area around the Inn is nearly as beautiful as the Inn itself! Unfortunately we had to leave a little too early for breakfast, which is served at 8:30 if that info helps anyone! Overall, we had a short but lovely stay at the Grand Victorian Inn!"
"Courtney was the check in clerk and was an instant friend of all travelers. She made us feel like we were home and was available for anything we might need for our stay. The carpet could use some updating but that was the only thing that wasn’t fabulous. A good place to stay and well priced"
"The room was poorly maintained and not that clean. The bathroom fan sounded like a jet taking off, the shower tap was barely functional, lights were missing in the bathroom, and there were suspect stains in the carpet. The bed was also hard and gave me hip-pointers."
"This hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were also surprisingly spacious, and there was plenty of well-lit parking, which made coming and going feel safe and convenient. It’s definitely not a luxury property, but it worked for what we needed — a comfortable place to shower and sleep after long days of outdoor activities.
The biggest downside was the room A/C unit. It was extremely loud, and there didn’t seem to be a way to turn off the constant fan setting. It made it difficult to hear the TV and, at times, hard to sleep. The TVs themselves were also very small and felt pretty outdated.
One other thing to note: the hallways had a strong musty/vinegar-like odor. Thankfully the rooms themselves were clean and odor-free, but the hallway smell was noticeable throughout our stay.
Overall, a good option if you’re mainly looking for a basic, clean place to stay and don’t plan to spend much time in the hotel itself."
