"Arrived to be given a key and parking disc , friendly but nobody overnight at a reception, big room but found it very noisy with the seagulls and road noise as single glazed windows , tap wobbly and no waste cover in shower , should have unplugged the fridge as noisy at night on and off , no plug point near the dressing table so couldn’t see when drying hair , did smell like a greasy spoon !!!"

"The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Our luggage was safely stored when we checked out. The room was tidy and had a nice bathroom. Included in the room was a kettle and a nice selection of coffee and tea. The breakfast had a good variety of tasty food including a full cooked breakfast, omelettes, toasties and smoked salmon bagels. "We had a wonderful overnight stay when attending a concert at the open air theatre. Parking was a bit problematic, as the street parking around the hotel was extremely busy (it was also Armed Forces day) but we hit very lucky in a small car park next to the Scarborough Arms, which was a 5min walk away. Upon check in we were greeted by a lovely, welcoming, friendly lady, who was playing music for the concert we were attending which was a welcoming touch. The hotel was clean, modernised, lovely...

"I think the hotel is either new or newly run as they seem to be finding their feet. Check-in was 3pm to 4pm and when I called to say I might be around 6:30, I was told "it's only hour and a half from Manchester" and "there might not be anyone here after 5pm". It felt a bit abrupt in all honesty but when I arrived around 5:30 (Friday school holiday traffic), they were pleasant enough. Breakfast starts at 10:30 to 11:30 which is very late and checkout is 10am. Weird timings, hence my theory they...

"We stayed in room 225, it was allround good, but its in ergent need of some venterlation and air-con. Due to the windows not opening, there was a fan in room but of no use it just cerculated hot air around the room."

"Other than the view and location this hotel is absolutely not worth the money. No parking, old dated, small rooms. And no fans provided in this heat which made for a terrible sleep. Would absolutely not stay here again, especially considering the cost!"

"When I arrived in Scarborough by train I used the Google maps on my phone to find this hotel since I wasn't sure where it's location was. Staff customer service skills were fantastic. There was a lift inside the hotel, which I only used twice. I wasn't a fan of that lift. On 19/6 when I first wanted to use it I was having a problem with getting the lift to work, a member of staff on the reception desk shown me how to close the lift door. "Very welcoming host, the room had an amazing veiw. Very clean, good variety of tea, coffee and a hot chocolate. The bottle of water in the fridge was a godsend when I got back after a long day. Breakfast was very tasty, full english with a glass of fruit juice and a pot of tea( or coffee). It was so helpful being able to drop my bag off before check in... Which when I arrived I was able to check in early. Also I could leave my bag there when I checked out, meaning I didn't have to lug it around...
