Welcome to Djupfors only 10 km from Ammarnäs, a unique area with a strong culture and tradition for fishing, potato growing, skiing, snowmobiling, Vindelälvslopppet, Kungsledenrännet and other sports activities. Ammarnäs is a village deep in the interior of Västerbotten which is a last outpost towards the mountain world and the Norwegian border. In Ammarnäs you can join the Kungsleden and its popular hiking trail to Hemavan. The farm consists of a dwelling house, a barn and a shed on a large private plot. The house is on several levels and well equipped with a large kitchen. Downstairs 2 bedrooms, kitchen with dining area and living room with sofas and TV. On the upper level there is a bedroom, extra bed, living room with TV and very beautiful views of the mountains. Sitting there on the steps and looking at the mountain view is beneficial for body and soul. In the basement there is a new washing machine, boiler room, food cellar, water heater and other storage areas. In the yard there is a shed with a small wood-burning stove, it can be cozy to sit there one evening and hear the silence. In Djupfors there is everything you could want, large farm with privacy, walking distance to Vindelälven and you have the most popular fishing area nearby. There are hiking trails from the house up the mountain, with opportunities for berries and mushroom picking. There is a grocery store, Ammarnäs Livs, which we recommend. They are also agents for Apotek and Systembolaget and offer home delivery of groceries. The store has generous opening hours throughout the year, it is run by young families, one of whom comes from Djupfors. There is everything you could wish for in terms of service, guiding, activities with fishing, horse riding and overnight stays in the mountains, fishing trips and a nice local population. The whole area is a unique area for hunting, fishing, Sami and settler land. Summer activities: Mountain hiking, fishing trips and cultural activities. Near the farm there are nice flowing water and rapids to visit. Car trips can take you far up the mountain to, among other things, a reindeer herding area for continued hiking. The university has a research station for, among other things, birds and mountain foxes, which can give interesting lectures in Ammarnäs nature space. Winter activities: Snowmobile up in the mountains with ice fishing, (fishing license can be redeemed online). Cross-country skiing around the house, along the Vindelälven river and in the mountains. Nice downhill skiing in Ammarnäs on Näsberget. Welcome to a magical nature in one of Sweden's most beautiful places in Lapland!
