The bed was so comfortable that I can forgive the outdated decor and the aging nature of some of the furniture. The staff seems like they genuinely care about guests, and overall it’s just a great place to sleep.

Good for stop for a night.

Overall, the location is great, near Highway and easy to find. The room is clean for 1 night stop. The elevator only 1 work, so it is very slow. The personal is friendly, just one when I check in, so it took a little over half hour to check in due to many people in line.

Outdated rooms, dim lighting, damaged carpet. Limited TV channels. It was overpriced for the condition that it was in. Air conditioner worked and the beds were comfortable. Didn't use the pool but others were using it. Location is right off freeway.

First time visiting this hotel. Only the convenience of the hotel location used as a quick staycation is what I did like. However, due to my vehicle’s windshield wipers were stolen off off my suv I noticed on the day of check out (which was a rainy day) I will not return to this hotel or refer this hotel. Additionally, the hotel is very dated, with no safety measures on and around the property. Anyone that is not a hotel guest could easily access the hotel.

Oct 19th stay at Clarion Hotel South Bound Brook

We have stayed here several times and even brought our large dog without incident. (A major plus for a hotel.) Never had a problem in the past and always added the detailed dog request when reserving; this visit when checking in, we were told they do not accept dogs over 20 lbs. This was never specified online, only indicating max 2 dogs allowed. This is disappointing as he is in therapy training and again, a repeat visitor. We hope to continue bringing our dog in the future. Now, hotel issues. While current hotel renovations are great (beautiful) and now has a functioning elevator; there are accommodation (room) repairs needed: cabinets do not close, remote tv difficult to work (no battery cover), no hangers in closet, non-functioning coffee maker, toilet seat broken, shower handle broken, "slow" water drainage in sink, and carpet is ripped. Beds and bedding were above standard (comfortable and clean). We hope for continued future stays here if they continue to allow for our large (friendly) dog. We also note that the "female" reception staff is extremely friendly and competent..hopefully, she will remain as a permanent reception staff (and pay her well!).
