"Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is cooked to order and of an excellent quality. The staff are all helpful and efficient. The hotel is ideally situated for access to the town centre, Dad's Army Museum, bus station and is about 15 minutes' walk from the train station. The bar is welcoming and serves a good selection of drinks. There is a small outdoor courtyard area in which to sit if the weather permits. "A distinct lack of staff all through my stay particularly at breakfast. Reception was unattended both at check in and check out."

"We didn’t get off to the best start as arrived to find a notice on the pub door to say that there was no power and pub was shut! Had to call a number to book in, young man arrived and assured us that our rooms were unaffected and that breakfast would be provided in the morning. "Room & bathroom were small but clean a well kept, very near road , unable to have windows open due to a warm evening. The room did have AC"

"The room was nice and cozy, it had the best bed I have ever slept on in a hotel! The tea and coffee were very much appreciated as well. The staff were lovely, they couldn’t do enough for you, I will definitely stay again if I visit Thetford."

"I was not really happy with the room I was given. I booked a normal room, but received a room for an impaired person. I was put in room 1. The shower was a wet floor shower, which was not too bad, but the bed was terrible. The mattress had collapsed and I ended up sleeping ( actually I didn't sleep) in a dip, ended up with body aches."

"Great place to stay for Forest Live. Hotel is lovely, warm and welcoming. It was a warm day so quite hot inside but we spent time outside in the huge gardens, the bar was open and we sat next to the river. Breakfast was superb, fresh fruit and proper butchers sausages! Would definitely stay again."
